Australian Women Writers 2012 Challenge

The Australian Women Writers 2012 National Year of Reading Challenge is a fantastic idea. I get to support fellow Aussie writers and nudge myself outside my reading comfort zone. I’m bound to read SF&F, romance and history, but I might stray into biography and crime as well. So I’m signing up!

I’m aiming to be a Franklin-fantastic dabbler. Sounds fun 🙂

Next step will be to make a list of books…decisions, decisions. Any recommendations for Australian women writers books?

Reporting on my progress with the Challenge looks a little complicated, but I’m sure I’ll work it out.

So there we go! Who’s joining me?

  1. Hi Jenny

Thanks for promoting the challenge. It's great to see people signing up (waves to Eleni). I hope it helps to raise the profile of Australian women writers generally – and it's also given me an awesome reading list! 🙂

    • Agreed! I've been bad lately about only reading in the comfort zone. Hopefully this challenge will push me into trying new stuff. I'm also pulling up my socks about reviewing. Even on Goodreads I've been slack. Lots of re-reading old favourites 🙂
