I’ve decided. Today is donut day.
I made a startling and not so happy discovery a few days ago. Donut shops are disappearing!
This is outrageous.
Worse than that, the local supermarkets have stopped selling them … well, Woolworths sells some rubbishy thing filled with red food dye. That is not a donut!
Donuts are fresh from the fryer. They are covered in cinnamon and sugar. Cinnamon and sugar! Yum.
So today I’m going to a big, huge (I’m exaggerating) shopping mall and while I’m there, I’m buying DONUTS.
Don’t no one try to talk me out of it. I have been donut-deprived. Oh, and if you’re out on the roads… Get outta my way! I’m on a mission 😉

Do you have a food that’s a wicked pleasure, seldom indulged?

Yum! I like Donuts, but they're not like the ones I ate as a child.
So true. I used to love donuts (rare treat!) as a kid. Now I think they must fry them in palm oil. Too heavy. But I still can't resist the odd indulgence 🙂
Stop you? LOL. I'm not crazy.
Hope you find your donuts. We have no such trouble here in the states. It seems there's a donut shop every other block.
My indulgence is an old fashioned milk candy made in Mexico. I've only made it once. I wanted to try it again, but I lost the recipe! I've searched the internet in vain. So far no luck.
Now you've got me curious. Dolche de leche looks yummy!
