Magical Magnolias

magnolias

Magnolia Week is magical, but the twist is that you’re the magician. This is a time to refill your energy reserves with random acts of kindness. Even if it’s as small as picking up a bit of rubbish and binning it, do things that make others’ lives that smidgen better — and don’t let them know! For seven days you’re the magician who makes good things happen.

Magnolias have a heavenly scent that can be elusive (let’s not talk about the port wine magnolia that stuns you with its scent so that you’re dizzy and have to sit down to recover! It smells like tutti-frutti). Magic ought to be elusive. It should give joy that others can’t explain — but you’ll know the secret.

Karma is real and the good things you do will reaffirm your own belief in the inherent goodness of life, as well as giving the same gift to others.

And if you see other conjurors performing random acts of kindness, smile! Magnolia Magicians belong to a special club.

Magnolia Week is also the time to follow an elusive scent. There is something you’ve been wanting to do. It’s not huge or earth-shattering, but it’s been nagging at you, teasing you while you stand waiting for the kettle to boil. Chase down that little secret desire, name it and do it! That’s right. This is a tiny desire, one known only to you. Keep your secret but indulge it.

Magnolia Week is a time for magic. Give it and treasure it.

*Flower Fortunes are a lot of fun, but please consult Common Sense when planning your week.

  1. I wish there was a way to smell the flowers. I’ve never seen a magnolia. What a beautiful (and apparently elusive to me ) blossom. Finding something magical won’t be difficult though – you just have to know where to look. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ™‚
