Books to Rescue YOU from Buyer’s Remorse

Now that Amazon is alive and kicking in Australia, we get to share the excitement of Prime Day – which has just ended. Did you buy anything? I resisted temptation, but buyer’s remorse is a very real condition around the world right now 😉 So this post is an attempt to cheer you up. I’ve listed a few books that are special deals or just special. Please, double check the pricing before you one-click.

And if you scroll down to the end of the post, I have a very important question to ask you.

maria e schneider, witch mystery,Under Witch Moon (Moon Shadow series, Book 1) by Maria E. Schneider

Adriel should have known that with a werewolf, it never stopped with just one body. She would have gone to the police after witnessing Dolores’ death, but she wasn’t certain the killer she saw was responsible for the other murders. Besides, the police didn’t believe in werewolves, and they weren’t going to believe she was a witch either so what could she tell them?

She kept her eyes and ears open while she tried to help her latest client escape the clutches of a voodoo witch, but things went from bad to worse when more bodies turned up. She was greatly relieved when she met White Feather, an undercover cop. Unfortunately, he wasn’t convinced she was innocent of all wrong-doing.

It was going to take every spell she knew and a few she hadn’t tried to solve the murders and stay alive.

Maria also writes the popular Bear Mountain Books blog.

Forgotten memories. Supernatural abilities. Mysterious tattoos.

Four months ago, Lena woke up in a dark alleyway with no recollection of who she is. The only clues to her past are a mysterious tattooed symbol and a supernatural power: the ability to see evil in people.

While struggling to regain her memory, she follows a strange guiding instinct to a small Colorado town. There she finds other young men and women with similar stories, similar tattoos, and a multitude of superhuman powers. Among them a man she’s intensely attracted to, yet with no memories of him, she has no idea why.

As Lena and the others explore their powers and try to figure out who and what they are, they make a frightening discovery. Those who know the answers to their questions are hunting them. And if they find them, these superhumans may not survive.

ginger booth, dystopian, kindle unlimited,Feral Recruit (Calm Act Feral America, Book 1) by Ginger Booth

$4.45 or in Kindle Unlimited  – I became hooked on this dystopian series. Really well written, bleak at times, but mind-blowingly good.

She survived. That’s not good enough.

When Ebola struck Manhattan, Ava Panic was a bright high school sophomore. Two years later, Ava’s still kicking. Also hitting, biting, and gouging eyes.

Nine out of ten didn’t make it. Half the survivors are feral teens like Ava. During the Starve, their gangs terrorized the city. The Army finally stopped the dying, and resettled desirable refugees into the countryside.

But no one wants the gang rats, least of all the adults in the city. The generations loathe each other.

The new nation of Hudson hopes Army discipline can salvage these kids. Ava is game. Because the Army holds all the cards now. And if the streets taught her anything, Ava knows that only the ones with power survive. But for this to work, either the Army or gang rat Ava will have to change.

The Very Important Question

What is the most useless thing you’ve ever bought? (Not received as a gift – that’s a whole different can of worms).

I thought about my answer for a while. I could raid the kitchen for those terrible, impulse-buy gadgets, or the shed for fake windmills (no, I don’t actually have one, or do I?), or my wardrobe for fashion disasters … but then I remembered – as a teenager I bought a mood ring!

Who else had a mood ring in high school? Mine was nearly always black. Not because I was a goth 😉 but because I tended to have cold hands. So useless, and I loved it!

Speaking of love – hugs to you all for the lovely comments and reviews for my new release, Space Deputy. THANK YOU! Your encouragement means the world to me.

  1. I didn’t have a mood ring, but I think the most useless thing I ever bought was an expensive hair product ‘guaranteed’ to tame frizzy hair. It didn’t.
