A Persian Dragon

Note the feathery rather than leathery wings? I’m so enjoying writing a story set in Iran. Djinn, dragons, sorcerors, jewel thieves and a hydrologist. Love my characters 🙂

Taryn, Temeraire sounds so good (a friend recommended it ages ago), but I can't get over my war phobia. I struggle to read war stories. It's weird, because I read lots of other blood and guts in fantasy and murder mysteries, but war settings–something in me curls up and whimpers.Liz–So many, many dragons. One day I'm going to explore the Chinese dragons. "Tea with the Black Dragon" by R A MacAvoy is a fantastic different take on dragons and humanity.
oooh, cool! That photo is so intriguing too! I didn't know that there were different kinds of dragons. Who knew?!
Have you read Naomi Novik's Temeraire books? If you like dragons — and all the different species of them! — you might like. In case you haven't…they're not exactly fantasies with other wordly beings and such — they're alternate histories that take place during the Napoleonic Wars. The dragons are the backbone of the French and English fighting forces.
Gotta love a man who knows his water 😉 Although it sounds a bit iffy when I put it that way. There's nothing like living in a dry country to appreciate the magic of water.
LOL! You had me at hydrologist. …and djinn.
