New Release: Shield

Finally! Shield is out today, and wraps up Cherry’s adventures. She went places, met people, and undertook high-risk missions that were NOT sanctioned by her poor, worried author. Do you know how hard it was to wrestle a happy-ever-after for her? But The Delphic Dame trilogy is complete. I am delighted to share it with you, and I hope you love it.

Cover of Shield, blonde woman against a blue space background, science fiction,

If Cherry was a selfish witch, she’d keep running. She’s an oracle. She KNOWS that trouble is closing in. However, there’s an instant in which she could escape, and so could those she loves.

Too bad she’s surrounded herself with ridiculously noble allies. The kind of self-sacrificing, kind, clever, and resolute people who force you to love them…then go off to risk their lives for the greater good. Of course Cherry has to rescue them.

And if she’s rescuing those she loves, maybe she could save everyone else along the way?

Shield is the third and final, unmissable book in The Delphic Dame trilogy.

Author’s note: you won’t guess the ending!

Welcome to 2024! Have you noticed how much messier reality is than my carefully edited books? Honestly, it needs a better scriptwriter 😉 In all seriousness, there’s already been some hellishly difficult situations – weather and fires, here in Australia; war and politics, elsewhere – but I am persevering! I’ve been lucky. Apart from heatwave and drought conditions, my corner of the world is good. I’m hoping for three more books this year. All with happy endings guaranteed. (See, reality, that’s how you write a story!)

First up is A House by Any Other Name which I’ve scheduled for release in June, but I’m hoping to share it earlier. I’m just giving myself some breathing room.

Then Alien Haunts, the third Pax Galactica Corps novel, mid-yearish.

Before slipping in a book from a new series … but you don’t get any hints about that, yet.

On the non-writing, production-side of things, I have paperback editions on my list of things to learn how to do and kick into action, as well as employing AI narration for my backlist. I know, voice actors are the better option, but as a first step for getting my backlist onto Audible, AI is the pragmatic choice.

To be honest, 2024 needs to be two years long to squash in all the things I hope to accomplish. So, please send good karma my way – and stay safe! Be happy! And enjoy lots and lots of great books 🙂

Jenny
