It’s release day for Any House in a Storm, a stand-alone novel that takes place in the Reality-twisting multiverse of the Uncertain Sanctuary series (the House books). Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09X2FNVT8/
No one suspects Zelia is a sorcerer, and that’s exactly how she likes it. Even better, no one suspects she’s human. Masquerading as a goblin Traveler, she roams Reality in her glittering van pulled by her two trusty world walking birds, Warp and Weft.
But when a storm of cosmic chaos strands her in an outer thread, the only refuge in sight is the legendary Darkhouse of Doom. Goblin legend says it is cursed; that the appearance of the wandering darkhouse foretells the appearance of world-devouring monsters and the death of all who see it.
So, Zelia knocks on the door.
Any House in a Storm is a beauty and the beast tale set in an otherworldly, space-traveling darkhouse where nothing is as it seems and no one who enters remains unchanged.
While evil exists, there will always be those who fight it.
Future Projects
I plan to end the year with laughter (dares fate!) with the start of a new sci-fi romantic comedy series out December 18. Doctor Galaxy is a stand-alone novel.
The second book in the series, I Spy an Alien, will release in March 2023.
If fate is kind, 2023 will see the release of a spin-off trilogy from my sci-fi series, The Adventures of a Xeno-Archaeologist (Nora’s books). The working title for the series is The Delphic Dame. This is Cherry’s story, set a couple of years after Resolve. You’ll have a chance to catch up with old friends, but there is a totally different focus, so be prepared!
Currently Reading
I don’t usually have a books I’m reading section of the newsletter, but I’ve been waiting FOREVER for the final book in Naomi Novak’s Scholomance trilogy, so I have to share that I’m reading Golden Enclaves. Also on my kindle is TA White’s fourth (and I think final?) book in the incredible sci-fi series, The Firebird Chronicles (it’s on my re-read shelf), Facets of Revolution.
I’ll totally understand if you have to wait to read Any House in a Storm until you’ve devoured these two books. For me, they’re the perfect antidote to release week nerves 🙂
Happy reading!

I want more, please!
More House stories and much more about Zelia, Tavor, Warp, and Weft!
Reality is one of my favorite – realities – ever.
Please do consider coming back to it.
I’m seriously considering it for 2024. There are so many possibilities in Reality – glad you enjoy visiting it 🙂
Jenny I adore Any House in a Storm. The characters are amazing, vulnerable and brave, the adventures are varied and satisfying. I enjoyed the meetings with Kira, Evander and Madra. Thank you for taking us back to Reality. I am looking forward to your new series in December, however I am hoping for more stories and Houses in the future! Thank you, Anne Luree
Happy that House is out!
Good news – Facets is not the last book of the Firebird Chronicles, bad news – next book is next fall and the hook at the end of Facets…..
